Dr. Tong obtained her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and studied transcription regulation during cell cycle and myeloid cell differentiation for her thesis. After completion of her graduate studies, she received a National Research Service Award and conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School and MIT. Dr. Tong also had several years of working experience in biotech industry and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She was a Technology Transfer Specialist at the Technology Transfer Center of the National Cancer Institute for three years before joining OTT.
