NIH Seeks Public Comment Regarding Future Patent Legal Services Contracts

The NIH’s tech transfer community is pursuing new law firm contracts for managing patent prosecution matters. The current contracts end Spring of 2019. As part of the development for the new Statement of Work (SOW), the community is seeking input from outside entities on what information would be helpful for the NIH to consider.

A Request for Information (RFI) was originally posted in July 2017. An RFI amendment was recently posted on FedBizOps.gov; the deadline to submit questions and comments is November 15, 2017 10 am Eastern. This amendment for Solicitation Number RFI-HHS-NIH-OD-(TTC)-OLAO-OA-263-2019 is available for review at https://sam.gov/opp/2f83905a97ebb78ff8df00220bb3c765/view .

Also, Contracting Officers from the NIH Office of Acquisitions and Technology Transfer Managers from the NIH tech transfer community will be available to provide additional information about this opportunity at the upcoming 2017 AIPLA Annual Meeting, being held in Washington DC on October 19-21. Look for us in Booth 54.
