FLC Launches New Website to Support Federal Tech Transfer Community
The Federal Laboratory Consortium (FLC) today launched a newly redesigned website that features streamlined navigation and new content to support the federal technology transfer community. Technology transfer is the movement of innovation out of federal labs and into the marketplace to benefit society, the economy and national security.
The strategic focus of the FLC is to promote, educate and facilitate technology transfer for federal labs. This new website addresses the three strategic areas by providing information on federal technology transfer success; educating the community with a new Learning Center; and providing better access to opportunities for collaboration and engagement between industry and federal laboratories.
Some key highlights include:
- Promoting technology transfer success through Labs in Action stories that describe successful actions and benefits; Award winners showcasing the best of the best in technology transfer; demonstrating successful technology transfer through the virtual LabTech in Your Life platform; posting the latest lab news and access to all FLC publications, including the award-winning 2022 FLC Planner
- Providing key information on how to work with federal labs to increase collaboration between the private and public sectors to expand the impact of federal technology transfer. This includes virtual visits to labs, road show engagements, regional technology events and connecting with strategic partners in the private sector and academia.
- Serving as the central hub for technology transfer professional development opportunities, including the FLC Learning Center featured webinars, courses and technology transfer reference materials to continue to provide the latest in professional development programming to advance the skill set of federal technology transfer professionals.
In addition, the new FLC website has a more robust section on who’s who in the FLC, various avenues for contacting the organization and a detailed calendar of events.
“This new website is an exciting development for the FLC as it has been a key milestone in improving how we interact with the technology transfer community,” said Paul Zielinski, FLC Executive Director. “The streamlined navigation and new content will improve accessibility and communication on federal technology transfer issues and priorities.”
