A Chinese hamster ovary cell line that expresses a secreted form of the gp160 gene of an HIV isolated designated MW959. The gene is truncated near the carboxy terminus of the extracellular domain to facilitate secretion and is therefore designated "gp140". The cell line secretes the protein in a constitutive manner into the culture supernatant.

Details for this material may be found in the NIH AIDS Reagent Program Catalog (Catalog# 4698): https://www.aidsreagent.org/reagentdetail.cfm?t=cell_lines&id=97.
Commercial Applications
  • A research material that can be used in the development of assays, validation of products or in quality control.
Competitive Advantages
